Annie Lee Sullivan:

CLASS OF 1958

Annie Lee's Story

Who am I? The same crazy person as always-always ready for a good time. Growing old is inevitable, growing up is an option. I choose to stay young at heart. Life has dealt me some tough blows but I have been greatly blessed also. God is always good. My motto is : The joy of the Lord is my strength. I'm single, have been divorced for over 14 years. I am still searching for my soul-mate who will walk with me to the end of my life's journey. I actually was engaged to my soul-mate in 2001 but in the end it didn't work out. He chose a different road and is now most miserable. I will always love him but looking back in hindsight, which is always better, I know God took me out of it and saved me from lots of pain and heartache even tho it hurt terribly then. Life goes on and I have lived a full life and have many friends. I told someone if I married again,God would have to open up the sky and drop him in my life. Don't laugh-like the movie. ANGELS IN THE OUTFIELD said, "It could happen". :):) One of my dreams was to travel ,especially to see all 50 states. I have been in 42 including Hawaii, my favorite, and Alaska. I also went to London and Ireland in 2000, all expense paid,by a sales company I worked for, and was treated like royalty-5 star hotels, meals in castles, tours , etc. Such a blessing. My trip to Hawaii in '96 and Alaska in '99 was with the same Co paying all the expenses. I've been so blessed. I remember my time in high school with great joy and look forward to seeing all my classmates at our 50th Reunion. UPDATE 9/1/08 I attended the class reunion in June. It was so great to be back in ...Expand for more
Talladega and the area. Our reunion was held at the awesome home of James Simmons near Sylacauga. We had 18 class members and some spouses, (some of us don't have one of those things), and Mr Griffin. Troy was the life of the party, always with a comical comeback to every story. I was able to reconnect with a special friend that I had not seen since soon after graduation and now we email almost every day. That's such a blessing..Only 4 of our class were missing by death--that's pretty good for 50 years. I attended our 25th and 40th Reunions but there were 4 classmates at this one that I had not seen at the other reunions I atended. So , It was especially nice. I saw a cartoon before I went that said, "I went back to my high school reunion and those people had got so old, they didn't even recognize me." haha It was common practice--figuring out who was who. Some had gray hair or less hair or no hair and then there are ladies like me----only our hairdresser knows for sure.:):) what color hair we have. An internet buddy once asked me what color hair did I have. I thought about saying"What color do you want it to be?" haha Many of our class and spouses have had physical challenges to weather and some are still facing them bravely and I pray healing for them. I've had many myself but God is faithful and has brought me through and I feel well these days and very blessed. I was Annie Lee Frieze in school but all my adult life have gone by Anne and the third (married) last name is Sullivan. Hope to hear from some of you. Catching up is so much fun. By God's Grace and for His Glory, Anne
